These schemes foster the emergence of new research and encourage scientific action in the field and in the laboratory.
In 2025, the Institute will fund 12-month "Starter" projects worth between €5,000 and €10,000, which will encourage the emergence of new research and help to structure partner networks with a view to responding to high-level national or Internationally-renowned calls for proposals. Projects must be collaborative, involving the partnership of at least two laboratories belonging to the institute. Other French or foreign teams may also be involved. Only permanent, active staff from member laboratories may submit projects.
The institute will also fund several "Interdisciplinary Actions" worth between €1,000 and €2,000. This scheme will support clearly identified, time-bound scientific actions carried out in the field, in the laboratory or in archives. It will aim to encourage synergies and promote the skills and equipment of teams within the institute. Actions will be collaborative and involve the participation of at least two laboratories belonging to the institute. Only permanent, active staff are eligible.
