Instructions for project initiators and institute financed initiatives

The granting of funding by the ARKAIA Institute for Mediterranean Archaeology is subject to compliance with the guidelines below.

Display of institutional logos

To ensure conformity to the requirements of the National research agency within the context of the Excellence Initiative, all projects funded by the institute must display the logos of the institute, the Amidex Foundation and the “France 2030” investment plan on their communication documents (speech handouts, printed documents and digital media). These logos can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.

Signature of scientific publications

Institute staff are affiliated with a research unit. Authors are therefore expected to sign with the usual affiliation of their units, in accordance with the institution’s signature charter for scientific publications.

In addition, to ensure that the publications of the institute and the Amidex Foundation are properly referenced, it is imperative that the following phrase be included in the acknowledgements of publications:

  • FR: “Ce travail a bénéficié d’une aide du gouvernement français au titre de France 2030, dans le cadre de l’Initiative d’Excellence d’Aix-Marseille Université - A*MIDEX - Institut d’archéologie méditerranéenne ARKAIA (AMX-19-IET-003). ”
  • EN: “This work received support from the French government under the France 2030 investment plan, as part of the Initiative d’Excellence d’Aix-Marseille Université - A*MIDEX - Institute for Mediterranean Archaeology ARKAIA (AMX-19-IET-003). ”

Finally, and in general, it is reminded that any scientific production must be filed in HAL AMU.
